THE BEST BEACH GUIDE FOR GUADELOUPE
Going for the “sun” as we normally call it is summarized in 3 words which are; Beach, Drink and Eat! For this first Guadeloupe connection tour, we take you directly to the beaches that you need to discover or rediscover.
The Datcha beach
Located after the Calvary Park of the Gorge market town, this beach located below the road is rather pleasant but agitated. The Gorge view is unusual (a small island of dense vegetation with red light in the middle). In the water, a rather flat relief under our feet allows us to go far enough but the agitating sea stirs much sand, making the water quite turbid. Despite everything the place is conducive for pretty pictures at sunset.
THE MIRE BAY, STONE BAY AND, THE SAINTE
The Sainte is a group of two islands that seems to be a foretaste of paradise! To get there you have to take a three river boat to the south, it’s simply one of the most beautiful bays in the world. After coming for a short day, the program was quite small: Beach -Restaurant – Beach. Walking through the narrow streets you can meet splendid houses with beautiful colors. The stone bay beach is a heavenly place with white fine sand and turquoise water where joyfully frolic small fish promote the spectacular pelicans birds hunting.
You can ask local to give you the direction to Mire bay with some iguanas taking the sun bath on the way. The black sand at the bottom of the water gives it an extraordinary clarity.
THE CARAVELLE BEACH AND THE SAINTE ANNE BEACH
The Caravels beach is one of the many beaches of the Saint-Anne community and one of those most frequented by tourists. In peak periods you will have to be patient and ingenious because the parking places are quite restricted! To go on the beach you will come across some vendors who will offer you all kinds of products: food, drink, souvenirs. This beach is to be share with the residents of med club directly overlooking the sea. It is a really nice atmosphere and the scenery is worth seeing as the coconut trees and palm trees overhang you, clear and translucent water with the soft murmur of the wave’s calls for your attention. In summary it’s a friendly place and a little paradise. You can have a holidays apartment rental for your stay in Sainte-Anne.
More best beach Guide for Guadeloupe….. hmmm
SOUFFLEUR BEACH IN PORT-LOUIS (the yellow sand)
The Souffleur beach has the peculiarity of being separated in two parts by the cemetery of the community which faces directly the sea. The luck is to have the place for you alone all the afternoon. You can stop at local seller around the beach where you will find coconut and passion ice cream and a concentrate of homemade delicacies. You will be tempted and this without regret!!
MALENDURE BEACH of bouillante town (GRAY SAND)
The Malendure beach located in the Bouillante town is also known to shelter to the Cousteau Reserve (Natural Reserve of the National Park of Guadeloupe). The place obviously has all the necessary conditions to offer you the best dive of your stay in Guadeloupe and this without going into debt, since the fish await you from the water’s edge. The purchase of masks and snorkels is almost inevitable and we understood it very quickly! Indeed, by paddling long enough following small colored fishes you can come face to face with a refuge of fish of all type and size. It is just too awesome! Malendure is equally a perfect place to witness the sunset. You will come to realize that the assessment of this beach is without appeal! According to local, it’s a beach of honor of your stay thanks to the small fish.
These 5 beaches obviously do not represent the extent of things to discover on the island, there are many less known places that are waiting to be visited and that you will have to discover by driving on the island road.
